Leigh Goehring is internationally recognized as one of the most experienced and respected investors in the natural resources sector. As Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Goehring & Rozencwajg, he has dedicated his career to advancing pioneering research and value-driven investment strategies in natural resources. His deep industry expertise and original insights into supply-demand dynamics have made his quarterly commentaries required reading for industry leaders, institutional investors, and policymakers.
With over three decades of experience, Mr. Goehring has established himself as a visionary value investor, renowned for identifying transformative trends and investment opportunities across commodities, including energy, precious metals, base metals, and agriculture. His work has had a lasting impact on the natural resources sector, shaping investment strategies and influencing market perspectives.
Before co-founding Goehring & Rozencwajg, Mr. Goehring served as Portfolio Manager for Chilton Investment Company’s Global Natural Resources Fund. Under his leadership, the Fund achieved peak assets under management of over $5 billion, consistently delivering strong returns across varying market cycles. Prior to that, he managed the Prudential-Jennison family of natural resources funds from 1991 to 2005, where he oversaw assets exceeding $3 billion and played a pivotal role in advancing the firm’s reputation in natural resource investment.
Mr. Goehring began his Wall Street career in 1982 in the Trust Department of the Bank of New York, where he built a foundation in financial analysis and investment management.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a minor in Mathematics from Hamilton University.
